ジェームズ・ボーウェンのノンフィクションを原作に、どん底の生活を送る青年が1匹の猫との出会いを通して再生していく姿を描いた「ボブという名の猫 幸せのハイタッチ」の続編。ホームレスのストリートミュージシャンからベストセラー作家に転身を果たしたジェームズと、彼の飼い猫の茶トラ猫ボブ。出版社のクリスマスパーティに出席した彼らは、その帰り道、路上演奏の違反で警察官に取り押さえられたホームレスの男性を助ける。ジェームズは自暴自棄になっているその男性に、路上で過ごした最後のクリスマスの話を語り出す。それはジェームズにとって、最も困難で苦しい選択を迫られた忘れられない日だった。前作に続きルーク・トレッダウェイが主演を務めた。監督は「ベラのワンダフル・ホーム」のチャールズ・マーティン・スミス。

Based on James Bowen’s non-fiction, a sequel to “A Cat Named Bob: A Happy High Five,” depicting a young man living in the depths of life who regenerates through an encounter with a cat. James, a homeless street musician turned best-selling author, and his cat, Bob the Brown Tabby. On their way home from a publishing company’s Christmas party, they help a homeless man who was arrested by the police for violating street performances. James tells the desperate man about his last Christmas on the street. It was a memorable day for James as he faced some of the toughest and most painful choices. Luke Treadaway acted as the lead following the previous work. Directed by Charles Martin Smith (“Bella’s Wonderful Home”).
